Hey Everyone...

Seems our Guestbook has gone down again in the last few weeks. Sorry for the inconveience. I know I signed three times without it showing up - very frustrating... ;-P

So, my latest...

I just got back from the Cannabis Liberation Event in Halifax, Nova Scotia and that was awesome! Many many thanx and lots of love to Michael Patriquin for his wonderful hospitality and incredible cookies... ;-D

We must have had 3-400 people come through our area and buy tickets for our raffles etc. that day. GREAT turnout. Steady group of about 100 hung out all day... Really good to see such amazing support from all across this beautiful Country of ours as this went on in over 40 Cities World Wide and is still in progress this next week or so...

We were interviewed by Canadian Press for Newsprint and Radio and then the Interviews continued all afternoon from there... We even made top news at 6 & 11 pm on CTV's Atlantic Televison (ATV)one of Canada's leading networks - what a great day!

Also, my Sativex Blog has been discontinued.

In my own personal Clinical Trial, I found it to be insufficient for my excruciating pain and other associated problems from chronic progressive Multiple Sclerosis. I reported this to my Specialist yesterday at my Yearly appointment. Seems I am going down hill but not as fast as I thought. Raw Marijuana, Salmon Oil, Multi vitamins and Evening Primrose Oil are SERIOUSLY helping me... ;-)

That's about it for now...

Take Care of yourselves...

Love and a Squish,
Alison

Hi, 2 all,

Here is a blurb under "Weird But True" section ,from the N.Y. Post, dated Fri, Aug 25th, 2005:

The opera a'int over 'til the fat lady gets high.

Members of a German opera company have been smoking marijuana onstage during a production of "The Yellow Princess", and encourage the audience to do the same -
claiming artistic license protects everybody from drug laws.

"It's a test to see what we can get away with", admitted Bernhard Glocksin, artistic director of Neukoeliner Opera House in Berlin.

I'm a Canadian Ganja Man,and this is my ganja stand!
I'll fight to the finish, till the lies do diminish,of the drug war imposed by the man!
The governments told us all, they'd knock us against a wall!
They said if you are a user of pot you're a loser!
But that's not the truth at all!
Soon the governments plan, under our scrutiny could not withstand!
Their plans were dissembled so we assembled a plan that could work for us all!
Then we all just thought,if we could use medical pot,
they could call us a user but never a loser!
Canadians won't tolerate that! They could call us a user but never a loser,
The Canadian Constitution won't tolerate that! Hell Canabians would never tolerate that!

Nice site... I totally agree with you... Marajuana( I dont know how to spell right.. so ima say pot),pot, should be used, agian, for medicinial use.It has many good uses. It's not bad for you... Ive been smoking pot since I was 10... and now im 13....Yes... This is coming from the mind of a minor.I hope you read this... I love pot. It should be used rightfully, not abused,as many people do,as I,myself do.I don't know why pot is Illegal.. If they want kids to stop, maybe they should make it legal in Canada... Less kids would want to do it, it would ruin the fun. I,might have had second thoughts.I don't know.If the government advertised the good effects, and always telling people, "Dont do this,or that, dont smoke pot,its bad for you", less kids would do it for fun...Well...I sorta got off topic... Well...good bye all... Email me if you want, Retarded_Sock@hotmail.com

Many people are curious as to how Sativex, the marijuana medicine works for me. Below is my Blog of my personal clinical trial...

********************************************************

Alison's Sativex Blog...continued...
August 14, 2005

For those of you following this very unofficial and I'm sure quite controversial issue of Sativex, the marijuana medicine coming to market in Canada recently, here goes my latest.

I am apparently the first person in the country to receive this medication on Prescription and have had quite the trip!

I started using approximately 5 sprays of Sativex a day beginning July 1st, until receiving a very interesting phone call from a reporter from Conneticut in and around the 3rd of August.

This Reporter who shall remain nameless, sat in on the Clinical Trials that Sativex was running in Britain and found that people like me with constant, chronic pain needed and often used, over THIRTY - 3 ZERO - sprays a day for ANY relief. This really didn't come as a big surprise to me as I was not noticing any difference in my health at five sprays, twice a day.

Now I know why.

Continuing on my journey, I am now utilizing more medicine in a shorter period of time. This is getting VERY expensive...
At $125.00 plus dispensing fee for fifty one sprays, it certainly
adds up.

I am hoping to find SOME relief from this medication and am hoping to increase my number of sprays per day once I can find more people to foot the Bill
. So far, an annoymous donar has given me enough money to pay for my Sativex to last for the next month or so. Beeaaeautiful... ;-) At least this way I can find out for sure if it is for me...

I am probably NOT the perfect person for this trial as I am such a constant, unbelievable need, but I want to give it a fair shot. This may be the most incredible medication for the right person, it is after all, still Cannabis.. maybe I just need that one strain again...? Who knows...??? Wonder if we ever will...

I am now taking a daily regime of over 15 sprays a day and will talk to my Docs about going up further in the next week when I return from the City this weekend from my LEAP gig, for the National Black Police Officers Education and Training Conference. We should rattle a few hard edged souls here... ;-D

Will continue on the path I am on, taking Sativex daily along with my other medications like morphine AND raw smoked Cannabis to see if I get ANY relief. It's been a really rough week so far with the stress of all of these upcoming events. I have a violent pain in my bottom lip that has been hanging around for over a week, morning to nite. Things can get overwhelming at times for sure... ;-P .. ahh.. breathe... phew.

Until my next Blog... take care of yourselves and PLEASE - plant a seed for Peace.

Love and a Squish,
Alison

hello,
i am contacting you on any means i could find some way to get free legal buds samples. see i live north carolina and i am disable because of chronic pain through my lower back and right leg and also have diabetes that have cost me my eyesight to a great deal and tried all the narcotic pain meds they give me but they make me very sick. i hate the way they make me feel physically and mentally. i do recieve a check but i pay all the bills that leaves me with little money for the regular meds that work with insilluin and heart meds plus buying food. if you could send me a email to i could speak with or email them. north carolina does not have legal medical marijuana laws. they rather give you hard core narcotics which i do not like.
thank you for your time. someone please help.

Lanny thank you to you for dropping your sister's name into our Guestbook. WE shall never forget or disrespect Lynn or her memory. We are in the midst of redoing our Website and the "Memorial Page" is one of the pages yet to be finished. We have not now, nor will we ever forget Lynn, Donny, Juanita, Jane, Alison and others who have so bravely and selflessly passed into the next realm without us in this lovingly close marijuana movement.

This is definitely a long and drawn out war, with many casualties on our side and it has to end TODAY!

As for the DEA invading people lives and kidnapping them, I DO believe! Hang in there justme.... I'd be careful if they are already watching you... Beside Marc not getting back to you is nothing personal. Do you have ANY idea how many people contact him for help DAILY???

I'm sure he never dissed you on purpose...

We need you to dupport this now more than ever and want you to know we are hear to support you!

Never say never in this World.... ;-P

Kaligirl, I agree that the U.S. needs to get it's act together. You are scaring our Country... thanx tons for the support doll... comeback again and again... don't forget to pass us on guys... ;-D

over 7 million visits and counting...

PLEASE people don't let things that you hear scare you. Stand up for what you beleive in! THAT is how change happens. The DEA will NOT win this WAR!!!

Maybe this is the catalyst we need...

Please do your part. This will not end until you do.

Thank you to everyone who participates in our Forums all over the Net, our Protests, our Cannabis related events and our Rallies all over the World...

THE US GOVERNMENT HAS INVADED CANADA!!!! AND THEY MAY COME AFTER YOU!!

While many of you don't realize it now, Friday July 29th, 2005, will go down in history as one of the most important days in Canada.

The US government had Canadian law enforcement arrest 3 Canadian citizens in their homeland, and has ordered the extradition of these Canadian citizens so that they can face the American injustice system and possible life imprisonment for doing business that has been tolerated by the Canadian government for almost a decade.

When one Canadian citizen is threatened with extradition to the U.S.A. or in this case, three Canadian citizens, ALL Canadian citizens are threatened.

WE AS CANADIANS CANNOT ALLOW THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT TO FORCE US OUT OF OUR HOMELAND AND INTO THEIR PRISONS!!!!

The American WAR ON DRUGS has devastated American society and cost billions of dollars. WE CANNOT ALLOW THEIR WAR MACHINE TO CROSS OUR BORDERS AND DESTROY OUR SOCIETY!

Marijuana is NOT a gateway drug. Marijuana does NOT put millions of kids into treatment, THE AMERICAN WAR ON DRUGS DOES. Marijuana is a benign substance that causes less harm than tobacco and alcohol. Most Canadians know this, as does the Canadian government. THE AMERICAN WAR ON DRUGS DESTROYS LIVES AND SOCIETIES. WE CANNOT ALLOW THEM TO COME TO CANADA AND DESTROY OUR LIVES AND SOCIETY!!!

THIS IS NOT A DRUG ISSUE, IT IS A SOVEREIGNTY ISSUE!

PLEASE DO YOUR PART AS A CANADIAN BY CALLING, WRITING AND VISITING YOUR LOCAL OFFICIALS, LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES, PROVINICIAL AND FEDERAL REPRESENTATIVES, AND MEDIA OUTLETS. THIS IS A GROSS VIOLATION OF CANADIAN SOVEREIGNTY, AND WE THE PEOPLE CANNOT ALLOW OUR RIGHTS TO BE STRIPPED!!!

July 17, 2005 3pm ish

Just checking in four hours after spraying Sativex 17 times so far today. Wanted to let you all know I wasn't dead or asleep...

Am feeling SLIGHTLY better but not sure what to attribute that to... Was it the Sativex? Was it that amazing Banana bread? Was it that awesome Smoke I had? Was it the Pills I took? (equals almost 1000 mg of morphine today already...) or... Was it ALL of the above? Not sure but am also not complaining...

Will post more as I continue this journey..
Finally, SOME relief...

Alison's Sativex Blog (con't)

July 17 11:09 am

(someone asked me If I did 10 sprays my first time at once or did I do them separately)

No. I did ten sprays throughout the day. Five in the morning and five later in the day that day... was a bad day then... today I have had seven.

Will do ten more now to see...hang on... oops did 11... will know in a few minutes what will happen. Tasts leaves TONS to be desired... yuck... but if it works... nothing to report yet and it has been four minutes....no euphoria which I expected... haven't had that since I started taking 2000 mg of morphine daily...

Have violent pain in my back today so will see if that helps... won't do anything else for at least 40 minutes...
no pills... no smoking... no drinking anything, no eating any cannabis cookies... tee hee... think I'm having too many of those these days...
.

People are right that I smoke major amounts of Cannabis. I'm told I'm about a pound a month. So yes, one or two days would be $200.-300.00 worth of Pot for me so it is close...

My level of pain is FAR BEYOND average. I have the most excruciating pain known to medicine in my face twenty four seven... I also experience violent pain in my back and hip - sucks for sure.. but at least smoking and eating pot helps...

Sativex may not help me or people like me but that doesn't mean it won't work for others... I am an anomoly they tell me..

Thanx for the great vibes from everyone... You guys ROCK
I'll be sure to keep everyone posted...

July 14, 2005
Well everyone...

It has been two weeks exactly since I started 5 sprays of Sativex
every morning and sometimes, a few more throughout the day.

Am a little surprised I don't have more to report.

I have just had my morning 5 sprays on top of a dozen dilaudid and a
bunch of other pills. Not sure what to expect. No lightheadedness.
No euphoria. No dizziness. No drymouth. Eyes are permanently red so
that doesn't count...;-D No confusion. A bit more clarity of vision
in that my eyes seem to be a little less stressed while sitting at the
computer now...

I'm not sure what, if anything I get from what I am inhaling via the
Sativex, but am still trying it religiously. I am still smoking,
albeit a little less than normal just to see the difference now. Not
much to report on that.

It's been 18 minutes and my face seems to be a LITTLE better now.
Think it makes me tired though??? Thought that last week too. Seems
like it nails me to my bed.. ...not sure what that's from for sure.
Lotsa morphine today as face is so sore... Could be that,, wouldn't
surprise me.... good time to have the Sativex to see....

Will continue to keep people posted as I go over the next two and a
half months - IF i can afford it...

Just woke up from a 3 hour nap!!!... Haven't done that in YEARS! Not
sure if it's the weather (101 with the humidex)the fact that we were
out all nite last nite at the Yuk Yuk's Benefit, or the Sativex.
Whatever it was, I had a solid pleasant sleep. Obviously MUCH needed.

Will keep people posted more as to what is going on with me and
Sativex over the next 8-10 weeks...

Love and a squish,

Ok, you know how, recently, the government changed the law so that even people that use marijuana medicinally, will be punished like a "normal" citizen, well I thought that people that hold a card for the use of Marijuana medicinally were supposed to be treated as if the marijuana were a prescribed drug... OXYMORON... the government is so freakin' dumb.

Wrote this the other day when I got home... July 3rd, 2005

Well. Hmmmmm....

So this is it?

This is what all the hype was about?

Just opened my bottle of Sativex in front of a photographer from my
local paper.

Pain in my cheek is probably an 8 out of 10 today with the severe
weather change. Air Pressure dropped and so did I.

My cheek has been very painful all day - sure hope something helps...
;-P After consulting some of the Doctors I speak to, it was suggested
that I stay on my Morphine AND Smoke while taking the Sativex for the
first few months. Apparently we have to get use to using it first.

At first glance it's not very big. Only a one and a half inch bottle.
Was no packaging to be seen as Pharmacy sticker covered
the bottle..

But here is what I could read...

Sativex is made up of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol 27mg/ml
(From Tetranabinex - Cannabis sativa L.extract) and cannbidiol
25mg/ml(from Nabidiolex -Cannabis sativa L. extract)

Buccal Spray
Cannabinoid analgesic

Guess it doesn't need to be very big for 51 sprays. I took 3 sprays
to start, waited 15-30 minutes in SEVERE PAIN then took 5 more sprays. I
am now aiting to see just how I feel.

Not sure just HOW I am "SUPPOSE" to feel...? Am feeling a bit of
pressure from both sides in this. I am realy hoping it will work, yet
worried about how I'm going to fill my next prescription for Sativex.
This is one of my only medications that ISN'T covered - YET. Still
working on them and will let people know when I do just WHO will help
us with coverage in this. Am a litle worried that it might take too
long already for the spray to work... Not a good first impression but
I'm willing to stick it out for a while...

Was interviewed for my local Paper the Burlington Post yesterday.
Should be out by next Wednesday they said. I took a very excited
approach with the Reporter. I thnk it is really cool that we even
have something like this to TALK about...!!! Hope the story comes
across okay...

I am also going to be a Guest again on Cultural Baggage on the Drug
Truth Network http://www.drugtruth.net/ this Monday, July 4, 2005 at
4:20 pm with Dean Becker, all about Sativex so be sure to tune in...

Loretta Nall is Dean's newest addition to the Station. Congrats
Sunshine!... Loretta honey you
DO Rock ;-)

Thought things would be a little busier than usual but I know they
will pick up. I just don't have the energy to track down Media for
help like I use to. Guess I'm getting old... Either way, we HAVE to
get out there and continue to make noise! I don't feel like I have
done ANYTHING lately. Think I used the word stagnant recently...

PLEASE watch your neighborhood for Rallies, Events and Festivals as
Summer is here. We HAVE to continue to spread the word far and wide
that this War is NO OVER!! That Prohibition must be negated today!!!

On THAT note...

I'm outtie...

Will keep everyone posted as to my dealings with Sativex... No major
changes yet...

Wish me God Speed... ;-D

Love and a Squish,
Alison

What is the government waiting for? Taxes. How to tax marijuana, how to control all of the marijuana in Canada and how to charge $150 for an eighth without people bitching about it. When will they learn that marijuana is safer than alcohol or any prescription pain killer. The marijuana issue shows the truth that the government could not give a rat's ass about us. They don't care if we live in pain, they only care if they can get kickbacks from it. It is time for the governing bodies to do what is right and give real medicine to the people, stop caring about the almighty dollar and start caring about the people.

hello.
just viewed your "day in the life" atricle and i was in tears.

my wife, jeanelle, has ms, [second staage progressive] and has had ms since 1985. so i can understand how your day goes. jeanelles day starts at 6am.

jeanelle was the first person in oregon, usa, to be issued a medical marijuana card by the state. she has been using marijuana legally since 1998 when the medical marijuana law passed here in oregon[the omma...oregon medical marijuana act].
i was issued the first card in the state to be my wifes cannabis grower. i grow 7 plants for her, but only 3 can be flowering at a time. she can possess 3 oz's at a time, which is helpful, but for some patients this is not enough to last them until their plants can be harvested again.
we are trying to get the law changed so that people that need marijuana will have enough, and we are trying to get a dispensary system so that there is a safe place for card holders to get the medicine they need instead of buying in from street dealers.
anyway,,,,that is a bit about us.
THANKS FOR YOUR COURAGE AND THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR LIFE WITH OTHERS, AS IT IS SO IMPORTANT THAT PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT MARIJUANA IS NOT DOPE BUT A TRUE HEALING MEDICINE.
HUS TO YOU ALL

Law Enforcement Against Prohibition Mourns Mountie Loss

An international nonprofit educational organization of current and former members of law enforcement is in shock. Law Enforcement Against Prohibition was created to give voice to current and former members of law enforcement, who believe the war on drugs has failed and who support alternative polices of drug regulation and control that will save lives, reduce disease, lower addiction rates, lessen crime, and converse tax dollars by ending prohibition.

?We want it to stop. There is no reason for officers to die like this,? said LEAP founder Jack Cole on the CBC this morning. Cole founded LEAP 2 years ago, after working as an under cover narcotics officer for 26 years.

Though in mourning, LEAP representatives have been busy performing many media engagements to counter MP Anne McLellan?s claims that tougher laws would stop the violence. Speakers are dismayed that drug warriors have used this tragedy to hijack the drug policy debate.

As such, LEAP would like to reiterate its stance that the War on Drugs can only come to a peaceful resolution with the legalization of all drugs.

A full compliment of LEAP speakers is available to discuss this plan. Including former Corrections Officer, Health Canada medical marijuana exemptee and currently LEAP?s sole Canadian female spokesperson, Alison Myrden.

Hi, I've been on heavy pain meds for over six yrs.I have seen on the net and news that the popularity of medical marijuana for pain relief is increasing. My family doctor has discussed the possibility of a trial shortly, arrangements being made. The problem I have run into ( for the possibility of long term use )is to get my insurance co. to have marijuana listed on their "list of drugs" covered by my plan. I'll keep you informed.

Peace, y'all,,, Section 56'ers and other advocates will pack up their implements of medicinal administration, and taking them to parliament hill.Ottawa will be the scene of a marijuana rally on Nov.25th and I'll be bringing my bong along. A huge God Bless to lawyer Rick Reimer who has put in the good work and received a permit to "express" ourselves this day from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Rick, like myself,is federally exempt to grow/carry/use cannabis for medicinal use. There are now 72 of us legal to do so in Canada. Medicinal marijuana use is now a constitutional right that is here to stay.Credit for that goes out to many. All have sacrificed so much to get this far.People like Jim Wakeford,Terry Parker,Prof Alan Young, to name a few "heros". Medical marijuana has managed to get its foot in the door a crack. It has forced the gov't of Canada to examine and rewrite existing marijuana laws,as our courts now recognize these laws as unconstitutional and inappropriate. It's a beginning ,but buy no means close to legalization or a satisfactory reform of the drug laws. 60,000 people in this country were charged with cannabis related offenses last year.75% of them were for simple possession.A small fine at best, but a criminal record is attached. Some very sick and disabled medicinal users were given the "right but no remedy" .Given a prescription with no place to fill it,save the underground or the street. Thats "when" it can be afforded.Police still arrest our care-givers and intercept our medicine in the mails. This rally is a fantastic opportunity to bring some real attention to our battles. Two days before a national federal election is just perfect.Especially with Canadians going to the polls having an opportunity to mark an X on the ballot for the "Federal Marijuana Party." So come on everybody.Lets rave the capital:) Dig a little deeper and find your way to parliament hill and show the gov't and the Canadian people that we are for real ,and that their drug laws should not be. Should be a BUZZZZZZZ:) Steven Bacon,Ont. Can. exempted cannabis advocate

Hi Everybody. Just back for a bit. Am still smoking the wrong strain, so am still very under the weather. Hopefully this will be resolved soon. Just wanted to thank everyone so far for their support. It sure has been tougher than I thought - but truly worth it ! I am so glad that other people will no longer have to suffer without Marijuana as Medicine here in Canada. There is plenty more to be done though. Next step, we are now an official Business - The Medical Marijuana Mission can be reached at " www.themarijuanamission.com " from now on. (Seems someone caught wind and stole our FIRST choice - they didn't stop us though) ;o) This is a huge step in our fight for a Source !! Canada is hearing us and we ARE making changes ! Please stay tuned for news of the latest steps in our Fight with the Canadian Government and how we are expected to find our Medicine "on our own" - and then - be able to grow it properly. Come on Canada - give us a break ! Does this include those who are dying and too sick to grow their own ?? Speaker's Corner went well. Made our point again. Back again next month to make more noise...City TV, the Toronto Star and the Hamilton Spectator have all been fantastic with their coverage - we truly thank you. I will be back soon to update eveyone in our latest battle. For now, take good care of yourselves... Love and a Squish, Alison xx

Alison, Congrats and much thanks for publishing a very intelligent and informative site. I haven't even got past your guestbook and I'm impressed. I am a member of the Oakland Cannabis Buyers Coop. I suffer from chronic back pain/spasms and sciatica from a severe compression fracture (L2). To make matters more interesting, I was diagnosed with Hep-C right around the beginning of the year. I've been taking Vicodin ES for years, as well as mega-amounts of ibuprofen. I began to really suffer the affects of the virus, mainly extreme exhaustion and depression, about 2 months ago... so I finally got my butt to the doctor. I begin the yearlong Interferon/Ribavirin treatment next week. I've been told that ibuprofen is no longer an option, but I can take a maximum of 2000 mg of acetominaphen per day. Hell, I was taking that much in a sitting. THANK GOD FOR MARIJUANA!! And bless my doctor, who recommended medical cannabis and referred me to the club in the first place, and at considerable risk, I might add. This was before the Supreme Court ruled it illegal for the Feds to revoke a doctor's license for this compassionate action. I also have a "bad bust" story that is much too lengthy to report at this time. Suffice to say that we beat the case, but only after a stubborn battle with the DA. Our civil suit is pending. I'd be interested to hear from other patients who are going thru hep-C treatment. This is all new to me. I'm not looking forward to the side-effects... but I know my medical pot will help. I've babbled long enough for now. Thanks, Danny

I'm happy to see the City T.V. speakers corners bits are starting to run.Another example of Alison and Garys perseverence and conviction. We here work real hard at this. Most of the time we shouldn't let ourselves get so run down. But it's hard for us to lay down and settle for things as they stand.I know Alison.I'm privilaged for sure.I see the suffering she is going through with her illness this summer. It's been so hard to keep up the good fight hurting like that. Our emotional frustration levels are so high over our struggle for medicine.I cry for my friends suffering.I'm furious that the gov't has left us to fight so hard for.Alison is gonna kill me for talkin like this, but honey,i just want you to know that i cry with you.I shed a tear for all that need the weed to get by. I say a prayer that people will open there hearts and minds to what we are all about. For those that read Cannabis Culture magazine, Dan Loendoerf interviewed me this summer. The article is about children getting stolen or denied by the system for cannabis use.Although the leak by the federal Gov't was by no means the begining of my troubles, it cretainly changed my focus and direction down roads i never expected to travel. So be it! peace to all, sonnyboy

I pray for the day when Smoking is legal. I love big blunts and I cannot lie. I have ADHD. Attention deficit hyper activity disorder that is extremely hard to deal with. I have found another benefit of smoking herb is that my concentration level has risen along with my ability to control my actions. God is good, man is not, man made beer, god made pot, good luck to you AK

I see you already have a good number of comments, but hey, I'll contribute, too. I read your story, and I believe for changes in our government to take place (such as legalization), the people of our country and polititions should read these stories and many more people in your position should do as you have done. It is a very sad thing that cannibis and marijuana are so discriminated as well as the users (medical or otherwise). This is largely due to misinformation and lack of education on this subject. Thank you for posting your story and I am going to put a link on my website for it.

Hello, heard about your site from the Speaker's Corner. I thought this site was something about giving away free marijuana. But oh well...anyways hope the government makes smoking marijuana legal for everyone.

Hello you all. Ive been "rasing" our "girls" for 3 months and off line .Nice to be back. Sites a rave Alison/Gary :)thx. Hey there in Alberta. Big plans.Good luck. I had a proposal that many thought would fly.My Liberal MP left his ailing wife to hand deliver it to Alan Rock, in session.I was impressed.Mr Rock sent me a lovely hand signed reply thanking me for my ideas, but no thanks, sort of. Polititions do have a wonderful command of diplomatic verbal diarrea. Jim Wakefords institute C.R.I.T. has already been granted the go for medicinal studies on Aids Patients. They want to resrict the shwagg to 3.8%.They even want a placebo included in the testing.Good lord! Like i said ,good luck.Personally, after attending conferencaes in Ottawa and witnessing as much as i have from my unique vantage point,i have decided to take good care of my,and my fellow exemptees concerns.I don't think i'll be rushing to your door with my exemption to work hourly for you to grow medicine.I know alot of fine, fine growers in Canada.Growers are an independent lot, we're all different, and all refuse to let another cook in the kichen.I have 20+ good medicinal strains here that we are working on.I like the constitutional right i possess to grow this wonderful plant. In my back yard if i choose. The last thing most of us want is the gov't or anyone else medaling in our business. The average THC content in all cannabis tested in Canada by the police for many years now has been 6 to 8 %. Why are you so willing to test sub standard medicinal cannabis? You don't really expect many medicinal users to want for and use anything but the most potent, clean medicine available do ya? I would appeal to the Growers in this contry to "think medicine" It's your only foot in the door to growing legally in Canada.Growing good medicine for a compassion center and at a price we can afford is what the sick and dissabled really want.Donate part of your crops this year. Annonomously if your annonimity dictates :) I want to also encourage all closet users to go see your Doctors again since the Terry Parker desition. INFORM them that you use it medicinally and why.Have them include that into your medical record, whether its liked or not. Its your contitutional right to use it. Exorsize it.Protect your self from any or further harassment from law enforsement. The courts in this contry will no longer prossecute a bonified medicinal user.Thats a fact.My own exemption and Health Canada's program was deemed unconstitutional by the courts as well in the ruling. What good is keeping quiet? go see your Doctor folks.Tell them... peace and good health, sonny :) (steven) sonnyboysb@yahoo.com

http://www.zyx1.com ZYX Corporation Marihuana Proposal 2000 to Health Canada Copyright - 6/28/2000 Confidential version 1.0002 Reference Number: PW-$$SS-008-2651 Solicitation Number: H1021-9-9012/B Closes: June 28, 2000 Cat: Natural Resources Services Type: Notice of Proposed Procurement GSINS: F006E Crop Services To: Canada From: Loren Wiberg for ZYX Corporation Deadline Date: June 28, 2000 RFP : H1021-9-9012/B where Canada calls for the design and creation of a complete process for creating pharmaceutical grade marihuana products to be used in research to study the medical benefits of marihuana. Vital elements to the success of this operation are: a location with 24 hour per day security personnel; a very secure 24 hour per day reliable growing environment; security clearance for staff; efficient growing equipment; maximum seed variety; detailed growing methodology; quality control; THC testing; control of product to 0.1% and 5.5% within 0.01% THC content; harvest control; testing; quantity control and audit; processing; production; packaging; inventory control; shipping; documentation; and compliance with all laws and regulations. ZYX Corporation formally proposes to create and manage a government sanctioned facility to provide a controlled, secure marihuana production operation to supply researchers in current and future studies on the medical potential of marihuana. Under this plan, this facility will produce the most reliable possible growing conditions and guarantee a level of security necessary for this project to be successful. The facility will serve the purpose of: sourcing seed stock, germinating, cultivating, monitoring growth, qualitative testing, pest and disease control, harvesting, drying, sorting, chemical analysis, processing, blending a consistent 0.1% and 5.5% THC level, fabricating cigarettes, packaging, labeling, storing and shipping bulk and prerolled marihuana products by courier to recipients as authorized by Health Canada. ZYX Corporation will conform with all statutory and regulatory requirements, included in the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Food and Drugs Act. ZYX Corporation will purchase or lease to own a self contained, secure location. ZYX Corporation has met and discussed this facility with Bob Mills, the Opposition Health Critic in the federal government, and he has stated his approval for this type of use of this facility, see attached letter appendix E. During meetings and discussion with Mr. Mills, who is also the MP for the riding where the building is located, he mentioned how he is supportive of this plan as an excellent use for the building. He also mentioned he is in favor of medical marihuana, but opposed to legalization. ZYX Corporation assured Mr. Mills that this facility will only be used to produce pharmaceutically pure marihuana to allow scientists to conduct research to discover what medical potential it may possess. ZYX Corporation will do all the growing from this proposal process, giving our staff total control of the product from seed, through growth, and concluding with the harvest and processing. The growers will produce the contracted quantities of marihuana plants, for Canada, for medical research. ZYX Corporation will be the sole provider of security at the facility and will own the facility. ZYX Corporation will be the only licensed processor for all aspects of the harvesting, testing, curing, processing and distribution of the marihuana. The ZYX Corporation grower(s) will use their own secure space in the facility in which they will be guaranteed continuous, 24 hour a day electricity, heat, water and security for their growing operation. The growers are entitled to use whatever equipment they choose, however purchasing decisions and actual purchases are made by Loren Wiberg, EPM, unless the government disallows a specific product, method or supplier. The crops can be tended to by the grower(s), anytime day or night, unless the government chooses to restrict the access to a preset period. Grower(s) may prune and cull plants as they see fit, with the removed plant material being deposited into secure waste storage to be destroyed, on site, by the QPIC within 72 hours. All harvesting and processing is performed by ZYX Corporation staff under control of the QPIC. Grower(s) will be allowed to help with the harvest or will be encouraged to observe via monitors and will be given accurate records of the product weight at each step of the harvest, curing, sorting, testing, processing, and packaging operation. Once packaged and documented the product is moved to a secure storage area to await shipping. The grower(s) will work under contract to ZYX Corporation and will receive payment based on hours worked. ZYX Corporation will receive the preset payment as arranged under contract. All payment for the marihuana product will be between ZYX Corporation and Canada as described in detail in the contract resulting from this proposal. ZYX Corporation will provide 24 hour access to Canada inspectors to monitor, inspect and review the operation, processes and administration of the production facility. ZYX Corporation is the corporation to be formed upon acceptance of this proposal. If the Government requests changes to the structure for any reason these issues will be addressed prior to incorporation to the satisfaction of Canada. You can contact me: Loren Wiberg, president ZYX Corporation my email address: wiberg@direct.ca http://www.zyx1.com

I am happy that you have received the exemption and have been able to get off the "hard" prescription drugs while still gaining some relief from your agony. Hopefully the government of Canada will "open its eyes" and see the benefits of marijuana as medicine for the many ailments for which it has been illegally used for so long. The next logical step will have to be to begin its production to ensure a clean and pesticide free supply of marijuana harvested in a controlled environment for those who need it. Hopefully this will lead the government of the U.S. to "open its eyes" and see the truth. It is time for the world to drop the traditional biased view of marijuana as a hardcore street drug used only by those who occupy the bottom rung of the ladder of society. It is time to come into the 21st century. You might be interested in reading "Hemp & The Marijuana Conspiracy: THE EMPEROR WEARS NO CLOTHES" by Jack Herer.
